Ecstatic Greipel after winning Stage 13

A resurgent Andre Greipel of Lotto-Belisol team, fought through the final climb of Mont Saint-Clair, 23 kms from the finish, and a few other very strong riders, to win his fourth stage in the Tour. On a stage route, which was perfectly flat in the last 20kms, it was the Lotto-Belisol team which did the major amount of work to chase down the attacks, till the Team Sky train trying to put Edvald Boasson Hagen in pole position started the final charge. On a day marred by a horrific crash 25km before the finish, it was Peter “Superman” Sagan of Liqigas-Cannondale, who once again stole the thunder at the finish line with an incredible burst of speed and an impersonation of the Incredible Hunk!!

The 6^throad Stage of the 99^th Tour de France started of from Epernay to Metz, a distance of 210kms, with all the 195 riders who finished yesterday. Read more...

Greipel the Gorilla Roars again

On a slightly uphill course with a false flat, it was Lotto Belisol’s Andre “Gorilla” Greipel roar of delight that was heard at the end of the stage on the 6^th day of the Tour de France 2012, as for the second consecutive day, he finished of the race by winning the stage with a perfect run to finish line. The 1st Stage of the 99th Tour de France started of from Liege to Seraing, a distance of 198kms, with all of the 198 riders riding this year. With the race route spread around the Ardennes, there were 4 Category IV climbs, with the final one coming on the finish stretch, which kept the race on its toes. Read more...
