Vythiri

I had heard about Vythiri Resort during my stay at Lakkidi, the gateway of Wayanad district. Though I did explore the neighbor, I could not personally go and check out the Vythiri resort. My friends Anjana and Avinash took a break recently at this resort with their two daughters and came back to Kochi in happy spirits with lots of tales to tell.

In this post Anjana share her exploits at the resort while Avinash contributes through his beautiful shots. Btw Avinash happens to be the official photographer of our gang of friends :) Thanks guys for sharing this….

Cherai

There are so many options one has, to get away from the clamor and clatter of busy Kochi (Cochin). One such place where I retreat is Cherai. About 30 kms from the commercial capital of Kerala – Kochi, Cherai energizes your tired mind with beautiful and picturesque landscape. The pristine sprawling beach, charming lagoons, alluring backwaters, panoply of coconut trees and the gorgeous paddy fields – simply takes your breath away. Such views are the best companion one can have in addition to a book and some music, to refresh your body and soul!

Varkala – Virgin paradise in the God’s Own Country

Lapping of the waves, clear blue sky or star studded nights, whiffs of brewing coffee and freshly made cakes, foot tapping melodies, beauty of the sunset, crawling time, majestic cliff, raising toasts to good times – that is Varkala in capsule for you.

Wayanad

Rain Country in God’s Own Country!!

Long weekends are always welcome. After celebrating Onam (festival celebrated annually at Kerala) with our kin, we decided to spend rest of the weekend at a quaint hill station where beauty came alive through pristine greenery – Lakkidi, the gateway of Wayanad district in the north-east of Kerala.

This district being the meeting place of the southern states of India viz. Kerala, Tamilnadu and Karnataka, attracts many tourists, who look at getting away from the clamour and clatter of their busy city lives.
