It is mixed emotions for me. On one hand India clears the irradiation test for its maangas (read mangoes) hence placing itself on the exporter list after 18 years. Following which now Americans get a taste of ‘raja’ of the Indian fruits. Other markets like Japan, China, Australia and New Zealand have also opened up much to the joy of mango producers. Reliance which can make business out of dust, if they have their way, have said to have planted 1 lakh mango saplings in Jamnagar, Gujarat and will be exporting mangoes worth Rs.30 crore to the US this year!  Read more...
