Shimla – The Queen of Hill Stations

Shimla has always alluded me. Even through my years spent in the North of India, I could never make it to Shimla for some reason. Here is a guest post by Anaya, who visited Shimla earlier this year. In this blog, she recounts her experiences she had, in this quaint little place called Shimla.

After waiting for so many years, I finally got a chance to visit Shimla this summer. Visiting this beautiful city in the Himalayas was my dream since childhood. Now that I have finally realized this dream, I am writing a brief article about this amazing travel destination and my experiences in the hills.

Rameshwaram – A place from Epics

The word “Rameshwara” means “Lord of Rama” i.e. “Lord Shiva”, the presiding deity of the Ramanathaswamy temple. As per Hindu epic Ramayana, post the war with Ravana of Lanka, Lord Ram along with his wife Sita and brother Lakshmanan came here and worshiped Lord Shiva, in the form of Lingam to absolve any kind of sins that would have been committed by them during the war against the mighty Ravana.

Age ain’t nothing but a number!
This is so true in the South Indian films. All our super stars be it MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, NTR and the super Star Rajnikant have time and again proven that no matter even if you cross 50, you can still look young and look youthful and have girlfriends who are your grand daughter’s age. You can do all those things the current gen X does. What’s more you can even go to college and look like a student!!!!
