The beauty of staying in Kerala is that it gives you many varied options of vacationing. It has something for everyone. Beaches, mountains, wildlife, backwaters, city life, country side, history, religious places, you name it.

Most of our extended holidays are well utilized where we try to get away from city madness; bundle up some sweet memories, laugh like there was no tomorrow, rejoice in each others company and get back totally rejuvenated.

A Family Trip to India: How to Prepare and What to Expect

India is an exotic, spiritual, and beautiful country with countless sites, festivals, and experiences that are utterly incomparable to anything one witness in the West. Some travelers will describe this majestic country as an overload on the senses, but I must side with those who see India for its beauty, mystery, and charm. Traveling as a family to India will certainly bring with it some stressful situations and you will have to make some difficult decision like how best to get around, how to react when people stare and even approach you and your children, and most importantly, how to ensure your family’s safety. But this country will offer your family a unique and unforgettable journey with memories you can all share.

June 1 is the designated International Children’s day while Universal Children’s day is on the November 20. Over 50 countries celebrate a local Children’s day on various dates and in India we do it on November 14. On this day most schools have a morning assembly where lots of programs & lots of speeches on children’s rights, well being,… etc. are delivered. Politicians also make lots of promises for the coming future!!

10 things South Indian films have taught me?

This is a guest post by V V Rajan, Head of Media, Impact & Echo Advertising Co., Kuwait and blogs regularly at Random Thoughtz. If you are interested to guest post on this blog please check on the guidelines.

Age ain’t nothing but a number!
This is so true in the South Indian films. All our super stars be it MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, NTR and the super Star Rajnikant have time and again proven that no matter even if you cross 50, you can still look young and look youthful and have girlfriends who are your grand daughter’s age. You can do all those things the current gen X does. What’s more you can even go to college and look like a student!!!!

INDIA ROCKS!!!

Recounted down below are my experiences & readings about my travel in Europe for the last 2 months.

People in Europe generally get excited the moment they get to know you are an Indian. The feeling is absolutely amazing. They have a volley of questions to throw at you about India, the culture, people, food, way of life and but of course the highly exposed “Slumdog Millionaire” and their general reaction towards the movie.

Life around Tour de France – Stage 14

This is a guest post by Mr.Q, a professional quizmaster and  an ardent Tour de France follower

Cold & rainy – the tour moves on!!

colmar-rains1

Today, we were certified “crazy & mad” by our friends in Colmar, for we braved a consistent drizzle for over 2 hours on the streets leading to Sundhoffen – a small village on the route to Besancon, to catch the publicity caravan & the riders as we have been doing for the last 13 days. For us it was more of a thrill to see Contador, Nocentini, Armstrong, Cavendish & the other riders, who have become a part of our life – cycling by. But for majority of the crowd at this town it was the publicity caravan that was the focus, as getting gifts being thrown from the branded vans & participating in contests is equally thrilling!!

When Confidence becomes Overconfidence

overconfidence

  • When you are in a state of mind where you think all decisions you take cannot be wrong
  • When you let complacency enter your style of work and attitude
  • When you start to refuse to listen
  • When you refute all justified objections
  • When you spring to object on being criticized

That’s the time you need to realize probably you are or are on the brink of getting overconfident. You might think that you are the most open minded person but in reality it might not be so; because in your mind you have already stopped looking and listening for options.
