Holiday makers have been flocking to the Canary Islands for years, drawn by the promise of pristine beaches, high quality hotels, and practically guaranteed sunshine. Cheap air travel has also helped. Off late Turkey has become a sought after holiday destination for many. So when my friends came back raving about their vacation in Turkey, I marked it off as a country on my map of places to visit soon!
