The summer Olympics is the biggest and most prestigious sporting event in the world and it only happens once every four years. This year the honour befalls to England to host the 2012 Olympic Games, and you would think the whole country would be on their marks, set and ready to tune in and enjoy. But, according to several recent surveys from Abta, Travelzoo and holiday booking websites, bookings for overseas holidays during the games are up, by some considerable margin. In fact according to a survey by Travelzoo, as many as 30% of Britons will be heading abroad to escape the Olympics.

Good time to visit London?
London remains as one of my favorite places to visit. I hold fond remembrances of the city. It’s beautiful modernity, existing cheek-by-jowl with the rich cultural heritage is a must see for any traveler.

The Tower of London, The London Bridge, Westminster Abbey, British Museum, Big Ben, The London Eye, The Buckingham Palace, Art Museums, well manicured gardens,Fish and Chips,… etc. are all reasons for me to go back another time.
Devon Holidays

My trip and stay in Devon, England was like living a fairy tale – Enid Blyton style. Cozy English cottages, horses in the barns, grazing ponies, fresh dairy and meat, barbeques, picnics, friends, laughter and tranquility. Oh I so want to go back!
Before I even get started about how beautiful Devon is; I want to thank my friends Ashok, Arun and family for inviting us over for a vacation in Devon.
4/9 for Australia
In 9 years of World cup history (the first world cup was played in 1975 in England), Australia has won 4 matches. And 2007 victory is Hatrick for Australia! What is it that they are doing right and we Indians wrong? Don’t we practice enough? Or is it something else? My personal opinion is that we lack the killing spirit…. The do or die attitude which drives you to push yourself and give the best and may be team spirit as well? Not sure though.
