The 6th Stage of the TdF was from Montargis to Gueugnon a distance of 227.5km the longest stage at this year’s TdF. With this stage being the last of the flats before the climbs of Alps, it was left to the sprinter teams to finish off the stage, while the GC riders tried to keep up & finish without any eventualities. Mark “Manx Missile” Cavendish once again came to the party with the fastest legs & repeated his Stage 5 performance to win, but the no holds barred fist fight between 2 riders & the knock down of Robbie McEwen after the race also gathered attention. This is so true in the South Indian films. All our super stars be it MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, NTR and the super Star Rajnikant have time and again proven that no matter even if you cross 50, you can still look young and look youthful and have girlfriends who are your grand daughter’s age. We all have seen the alien looking characters introduced by Vodafone for its value added service advertisements more so while watching the IPL matches. All this while I thought it was an animated ad; was quite surprised to read that they were actually live beings dressed in white! The set, including all the props, is in the form of shadows created by spray painting.
The ads are getting quite mixed reviews though if you ask my opinion, I feel they are clutter breaking, creative and brilliant. Here’s my favorite ad of the lot…
