- When you are in a state of mind where you think all decisions you take cannot be wrong
- When you let complacency enter your style of work and attitude
- When you start to refuse to listen
- When you refute all justified objections
- When you spring to object on being criticized
That’s the time you need to realize probably you are or are on the brink of getting overconfident. You might think that you are the most open minded person but in reality it might not be so; because in your mind you have already stopped looking and listening for options. Read more...
Hey, kaha na pyar hai, main hoon aapka duggu….blah blah blah. What the hell or rather who the hell has put their thoughts behind the ongoing Reliance ads? I simply fail to see the objective. Do you? I mean by making Hrithik Roshan thank the whole world, what actually is Reliance Telecom trying to get at? Who is the target customer…. The existing ones or are they talking to potential customers? During a chat my friend opined that the idea behind this ad was to encourage people to pick their phones and talk more often to people without hesitation! Hmm that might be possible. But that’s not how it came across to many of us. The ad story could have been lined better. But for the fresh opinion, I had out rightly written this ad off. Read more...

I don’t think so. When Roger Federer cried recently at the French open, it was because he was ecstatic over his win. It was the biggest win according to him as he played under tremendous pressure. So he got emotional. So what! He cried when he lost to Nadal. Big deal! Only he would know the feeling to loose closer to a win.
I heard from my friend who in turn was quoting her friend that Federer should be bought a pink frock! Common grow up lady! There is nothing wrong in being open about your feelings. I find him rather cute. Read more...

That’s the theme for this year’s World Environment Day (WED) which is hosted during the week of June 5. This day actually brings me fond memories of the educational activities I planned during my stint at SunTechnics India (Bangalore). Planting sapling, sessions on climatic change and importance of energy conservation at schools, fun activities at malls…hmm. The subject had become close to my heart like never was. I have been writing about global warming, relevance of usage of renewable source of energy in the current scenario, tips for conserving energy etc in my earlier blog posts. Read more...

Microsoft’s bing.com censors ‘sex’ for Indians….yeh that’s the latest for you! But if you change your location you get to see all you desired for! I couldn’t help but smile at this news. Apparently its some law in India called Information Technology Act of 2000, which contains specials provisions related to publishing or transmitting pornographic content.
The very fact that such law exists in India is paradoxical. I find it as heights of hypocrisy….for sex to be considered taboo in a country with a population of 1 billion! Read more...

I could have stayed for few more days at home in Chennai but I simply had to be back in Kochi, in time for the much acclaimed play by Paresh Rawal called shaadi@barbaadi.com.

Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2008 and now Deccan Chargers in IPL 2009, the Indian Premier League is all about excitement and surprises. Well, I don’t want to boast, but I supported the winners in both the IPL’s. And I am quite surprised at myself for my selection.
Q who was supporting Bangalore Royal Challengers (purely because of Rahul Dravid) did many a victory dance, as the Deccan Chargers wickets fell. But who had the last laugh yeh? Read more...

I had a dream my life would be
So different from the hell I’m living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed the dream I dreamed
Those are the words from the song ‘I dreamed a dream’ from Les Miserables. When Susan Boyle selected this song for her performance as a contestant on the 3rd series of Britain’s Got Talent; little would she have expected the raving comments and standing ovation that she received. Read more...
