Bing??

Bingo bing, bingo, bing rules, Ping, ping the internet with Bing Bing, bing on, bing is almost here. If you are thinking that I have lost it; then behold. What you just read are few of the updates on twitter and Facebook doing the rounds since yesterday. When I read the first such update I thought my friend from Microsoft is just acting funny but then the entire MS community can’t be funny. Intrigued, I decided to find what the whole buzz is about.

Now that’s what you call luck!

dollar

Winning an unbelievable sum of $10 million from long forgotten lottery tickets is kinda story apt for a Bollywood flick. But no this is true story coming from Western Australia.  Btw the amount is equivalent to 13 million in Australian Dollars.Phew!

Paresh Rawal the great

paresh-rawal-wallpaper

I could have stayed for few more days at home in Chennai but I simply had to be back in Kochi, in time for the much acclaimed play by Paresh Rawal called shaadi@barbaadi.com.

What a name! Quite ominous I must say. Does shaadi really have to be barbaadi??…well I will take that topic up in my subsequent blog posts. For now, let me share with you my experience of the show.

Life in Chennai

Sharing with you few pics I took during my recent visit to Chennai. Of course I acted lazy and didn’t venture out of home much.Chennai is huge offering lots and it would have been difficult for me bring it all to you…but tried capturing life in Chennai to the best I could. So here goes…

Underdogs all the way

ipl_2009_winner_trophy

Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2008 and now Deccan Chargers in IPL 2009, the Indian Premier League is all about excitement and surprises. Well, I don’t want to boast, but I supported the winners in both the IPL’s. And I am quite surprised at myself for my selection.

Q who was supporting Bangalore Royal Challengers (purely because of Rahul Dravid) did many a victory dance, as the Deccan Chargers wickets fell. But who had the last laugh yeh?

Looks don’t matter & hey it’s never too late!

I had a dream my life would be
So different from the hell I’m living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed the dream I dreamed

Those are the words from the song ‘I dreamed a dream’ from Les Miserables. When Susan Boyle selected this song for her performance as a contestant on the 3rd series of Britain’s Got Talent; little would she have expected the raving comments and standing ovation that she received.

Heard of the wonder mirror?

aranmula
Seeing is believing. I had heard about Aranmula Kannadi (mirror) before, but had no idea about the unique craft this village boasted of, till I saw the mirror myself. Can you believe it that the metal is polished by the artisans in such a fashion that the metal starts to look like an actual glass mirror? How cool is that!

Just for laughs – Indian Premier League (3)

Found these cartoons on the net. It’s so very true. If people have decided they will take on you even when you are deep down in pits. Sympathies, Mr. M…hope you are taking this in light humor.

Dark nights for the Knights

cric5
Imagine the disappointment for the South Africa crowd, not because of the repeated poor performance of the Kolkata Knight Riders but because of their favorite Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan absconding from the scenes these days.

My heart goes out for SRK. After all, it’s not easy to own a team which ended up second last in IPL 2008 and probably would be end up last in IPL 2009. And with fake IPL blogger on its tail revealing the inside stories; things are not looking any better for him.

Are the kids today overexposed?

cute-baby-talking-on-phone

I was visiting Delhi on work. It was my best friend’s son’s birthday around the same time so I got invited; the only adult in a kid’s party, besides my friend couple of course. There wasn’t much I was required to do; everything had been taken care of. So I ended up being a silent observer.
